Types of Breaks

Take a look at some examples below:

Overnight Stays

We have contributions from a large number of high end hotels and apartments from across the city and always get wonderful feedback. A hotel stay gives you the chance to get away from it all for a night and enjoy some total relaxation.

Afternoon tea

Afternoon tea is a great way to enjoy a bit of luxury for a couple of hours. We’ve even had group afternoon teas where you can meet and get to know fellow carers. There’s always some delicious cakes involved which is definitely a bonus!

Theatre trips

We have received excellent feedback from our theatre trips as they give carers the opportunity to do something they wouldn’t usually do. You can get lost in the performance and forget about all your worries.

Eating Out

It can often be difficult for carers to get the chance to eat out so our restaurant breaks are the perfect opportunity to enjoy a lovely meal without having to worry about anything. We have lots of new and exciting restaurants getting involved so it’s also a chance to sample some of the city’s finest cuisines.

Health and relaxation

Caring for someone can often mean that you forget to look after your own mental and physical wellbeing. A health and relaxation breaks gives you time to unwind and can help you feel more energised so you can carry on with your caring role.

Leisure activities

From sporting events to days out and cultural activities, our leisure breaks will get you out and about. They are a good opportunity for you to try something new – you may even pick up a new hobby.

Events

A number of our partner organisations have offered to hold larger events for carers. As well as being lots of fun, they are also a brilliant way to socialise and meet other people in a similar position to yourself.
