Carers get early access to ‘The Florist’

Mytime Wigan

Mytime Liverpool

The Florist’ restaurant, which opened on Hardman Street today and is predicted to be ‘Liverpool’s most instagramable restaurant’, offered almost 300 mytime carers the opportunity to be some of the first guests to experience the new restaurant!

Mytime is a brilliant project of Local Solutions which connects informal carers who could benefit from a break from their demanding roles with businesses and organisations offering complimentary leisure, cultural and educational activities

Last week almost 300 carers got a chance to visit The Florist and enjoy complimentary soft drinks and a 2 course meal. There has been some excellent feedback from carers who thoroughly enjoyed their experience:

I would just like to say a big thank you for giving me the opportunity to go to The Florist on Friday evening. I had a fabulous time and the meal was gorgeous. It came at just the right time for me as we hadn’t any carers for a month and with juggling work and looking after my dad everything was hectic so I really appreciated some ‘me time’. Once again many thanks.

This isn’t the first time The New World Trading Company (owners of The Florist) have generously helped mytime carers. Previously, 50 carers were offered the chance to visit ‘The Clubhouse’ in Chavasse Park. The NWTC also regularly supports mytime carers with many donated meals across some of their north west venues, including, the Oast House and Alchemist in Manchester, Smuggler cove and the Clubhouse in Liverpool, and the Botanist in Chester.
