Carers week is about recognising the contribution that carers make and highlighting the challenges they may face, particularly around their own health and mental health. Our support enables people to continue to support their family members and friends,” says Hazel Brown, who leads the Carers Services at Local Solutions.
On Thursday, 15th June, between 10:30 and 3:30, the Liverpool Carers Centre is hosting a community event with 40 agencies in Williamson Squarewhere people can get information on support that is available.
The event will include pamper sessions, fun activities, health checks and demonstrations. Lord Mayor Malcolm Kennedy will be opening the event, with support from the Sing Me choir.
Liverpool Carers Centre offers carers assessments and support through a range of activities that support health and wellbeing throughout the year.
